Millennium Electronics MCPU-1003A

In my opinion Millennium Electronics MCPU-1003A is the best cooler from Millennium in this roundup. It comes in a white box, without any identification marks except for a Millennium label. It's not a very large cooler, but the heatsink looks pretty good. It has a lot of fins and it's tall. To maximize the tunneling effect the top fan is supplemented by a plastic cover as you can see in the left.

I don't know the brand of the fan (maybe is made by Millennium) but it spins at 6000rpm and is able to move 28.5 CFM as listed in the specifications. In our tests we discovered that you have to pay a price for this performance: the noise level is much above any cooler we previously discussed about.

Once again Millennium does the same mistake and lists on the website the interface material as DOW CORNING T725. In fact it's the well known Chomerics T725.

This cooler performed very good in our tests, in fact it was the only one able to do a 44C temperature.

Test system: medium market segment test bed
Test results:

  • max temp: 44C
  • Common fan rotation speed: 5880 rpm
  • Noise level: acceptable
  • Overclocking: YES
