Installation
The motherboard
installation was pretty straightforward and didn't require to set
any jumper. K7T266 Pro2 fits into a smaller case, but we recommend
to use it in a medium or large one. I also recommend you to insert
the USB connectors into the appropriate headers when there are no
PCI cards in place. These USB headers are not in a very accessible
location and you will find a later installation quite tricky. Memory
modules also have to be inserted before the AGP card.
Once the system
POSTS you have to enter the BIOS and adjust the CPU properties.
We used an Athlon XP 1600+ CPU to test the motherboard stability
and performance.

On MSI supplied
CD you can find the necessary drivers. Anyway you need only 4n1
drivers, but it's better to download the new version from VIA's
site. In order to use the USB2.0 standard you have to download
the latest Windows update because I heard there are problems with
the standard driver in Windows 2000. Download SP2 because at least
from our point of view there are no problems with it.
