Performance

The performance test will be a comparison between MSI K7T266 Pro2 and Epox 8KHA+. I configured both motherboards for the best memory performance possible. For Epox I used the most aggressive memory template (Turbo) and for MSI I manually configured the motherboard. All the tests were done at default frequency and with the FSB overclocked at 153Mhz. As you can read from my previous Epox 8KHA+ article there is no problem to raise the FSB to this frequency. Albeit I listed the frequency as 1.6Ghz in the table, the real CPU clock was 1607Mhz. Let's take a look to the results.

Bapco reveals a slight difference between K7T266 Pro2 and 8KHA+. The difference is not high, but it reveals an area where things could be better.

Business Winstone also points to a performance difference. The difference was the same in default clock and overclocking conditions.

The difference is not higher in Winstone Content Creation, the same trend is kept.
