Installation
The motherboard's
hardware installation can be done very fast due to the format of
the KT3 Ultra2 which fits most cases on the market. There are no
jumpers to setup and the layout is pretty well organized. The CPU
is detected at startup or the CPU setup can be done in no time from
BIOS. In the package MSI included two CDs, one with the motherboard
drivers and general utils and one with the sound card drivers. The
installation procedure is based on a control panel and it’s
quite intuitive. Take a look below to the system configuration used
for testing.

As you can see
I tried several 333Mhz modules with KT3 Ultra2. From my latest tests
I have learned that both AMD and Intel CPUs are not really prepared
for 400Mhz DDR memory so that a KT333 motherboard could be a good
choice. Unfortunately not all KT333 motherboards are able to work
properly with all slots filled with 333Mhz modules. We will see
later what we can expect from KT3 Ultra2 from this point of view. |
